Job description

Tuttle Click Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Ford Diesel Technician at our Irvine dealership.

Compensation: The pay scale includes a base hourly wage ranging from $33.00 to $132.00. Additional bonuses may include a performance-based production bonus with no fixed upper limit and a retention bonus of $1.25 per booked hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance and repair work on Diesel Vehicles efficiently, following dealership and Ford standards.
2. Diagnose and repair vehicle systems such as engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning.
3. Provide labor and time estimates for repairs.
4. Explain diagnoses and repairs to service advisors and customers in understandable terms.
5. Continuously update technical knowledge through training.
6. Inspect and test new vehicles, recording findings for necessary repairs.
7. Follow safety policies and procedures.
8. Communicate with service advisors regarding service status.

Qualifications:

• Ford Diesel Certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Skills in diagnostics, electrical, and engine repair.
• Knowledge of new vehicle technologies.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and learn new procedures.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
