Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Heavy Line and Diesel experience preferred.
  • Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep Certified Technician preferred.

Compensation: The Diesel Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $67.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. Additionally this position may also pay a retention bonus of $1.75 per every booked hour.

As a Diesel Technician, you must display thorough and proven knowledge of diesel and gas engine repair. You must also have a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail. It will also be a vital part of your role as a Diesel and Heavy line Technician to provide outstanding customer service and maintain effective working relationships with customers, supervisors and co-workers.

Responsibilities
    Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
    Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
    Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
    Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
    Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
    Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications
    2+ years of Heavy Line and Diesel experience, preferred
    Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, jeep Certified Technician and Diesel Certified is Preferred
    Experience with gas and diesel engines
    ASE Certification preferred
    A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
    Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
    Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment
    Excellent customer service skills
    Basic computer skills
    Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
    Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
    Ability to collaborate effectively
    Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
    Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
    Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability by employer’s carrier
