Job summary

Under Armour seeks a Color Designer I to elevate footwear color design, focusing on Basketball. You will create color concepts across categories, influence seasonal colorways, and work with product and color/material designers to develop go-to-market concepts.

The role emphasizes collaboration, trend awareness, and the ability to push color boundaries, with a hybrid schedule requiring four in-office days per week from our Baltimore HQ.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Passion for designing cutting-edge products and color.
• Solid understanding of construction and materials; manufacturing techniques a plus.
• Strong color theory sense and trend awareness.
• Ability to sketch concepts and present ideas clearly.
• Strong presentation and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor-level design degree and 3+ years of experience with footwear or product design.

Responsibilities

• Design and present color concepts for footwear across sport categories, with emphasis on Basketball.
• Develop seasonal colorways aligned with the color strategy.
• Collaborate with product designers and color/material designers to create go-to-market concepts.
• Participate in design reviews and inspire the team with new ideas.
• Provide product concepts and alternatives to meet product briefs.
