Job summary

University of Wyoming is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Football program at the High Altitude Performance Center. This on-campus role assists the football-certified staff with sports medicine functions and daily clinic operations.

Candidate must be a currently enrolled UW student, eligible for work-study, and possess a valid driver’s license. The position requires flexible weekday afternoon/evening hours and occasional travel with the team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at the University of Wyoming as a student.
  • Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
  • Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with Driving for University Business SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Certified Athletic Trainers with set-up and tear down of athletic team practices and events.
  • Help with the daily operations of the athletic training room under supervision of staff certified athletic trainers.
  • Provide on-going hydration and athletic observation during athletic practices and events.
  • Assist with Athletic Training room maintenance, inventory and cleaning.
  • Occasional travel with team to away contests for game-day assistance as assigned.
  • Adhere to confidentiality guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
