Qualifications

• Degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with appropriate certification and licensure.
• Active DPM license preferred or ability to obtain within applicable timeframe.
• DEA registration or eligibility.
• CPR certification expected, per state requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure effective interactions.
• Compassion for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide podiatric care in a clinic setting and hospital staff membership.
• Assess lower extremity conditions, review medical history, exam patients, order imaging/labs, and develop care plans.
• Deliver comprehensive foot and ankle care including wound care and trauma management.
• Educate patients and families about foot care and general wellness.
• Maintain medical records per state regulations and Upperline Health standards.
• Participate in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
• Prescribe medications as permitted by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
• Other related duties as deemed necessary.
