Job description

Job Summary: Performs routine tasks related to the portioning and serving of food and cleaning of tableware, equipment, or work area. Follows special cleaning and trash handling techniques as required by regulatory agencies. Ensures a professional and appropriate Service Standard while performing the job.

Job Duties

1. Perform various tasks within the foodservice area, including food preparation, packaging, and deliveries.
2. Clean and sanitize all food service areas as required by management and regulatory agencies.
3. Take and record temperatures of food and storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers.
4. Place food trays over warmers for immediate service or store them in refrigerated cabinets.
5. Measure ingredients as needed.
6. Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils appropriately.
7. Handle cash transactions if required.
8. Read and interpret patient meal tickets, confirm patient identifiers, recipes, ingredients, labels, and dates.
