Job description

Perform routine tasks related to the portioning and serving of food, along with cleaning tableware, equipment, or work areas. Follow specific cleaning and trash handling techniques as required by regulatory agencies. Maintain a professional and appropriate Service Standard while executing job duties.

Job Duties

1. Perform various tasks within the foodservice area, including food preparation, packaging, and deliveries.
2. Clean and sanitize all food service areas as required by management and regulatory agencies.
3. Take and record temperatures of food and storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers.
4. Place food trays over warmers for immediate service or store them in refrigerated cabinets.
5. Weigh or measure ingredients accurately.
6. Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils properly.
7. Handle cash transactions if needed.
8. Read and interpret patient meal tickets, confirm patient identifiers, recipes, ingredients, labels, and dating.
