Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Hartford is seeking an outside sales professional to develop independent accounts, drive profitability through new sales and account penetration, and promote company branded products.

The role offers uncapped commissions, monthly and annual bonuses, 8 weeks of paid training, mentorship from local sales mentors and trainer, flexible schedule, and a supportive team environment within America’s food distribution sector.

Qualifications

• 2+ years outside sales experience or culinary/restaurant management background.
• Experience in foodservice distribution sales is a plus.
• 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes sales territory and customers; samples products; plans general sales strategy and territory management.
• Grows sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts with pricing; coordinates deliveries and initial follow-up.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by coordinating with center personnel to resolve problems.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitors pricing trends to maintain competitive pricing.
