Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an experienced sales professional to promote products and services to new and existing accounts in the Olympia area. This outside sales role may require evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet customers' needs.

You will develop new business, service accounts, and drive growth while representing a purpose-driven organization with a strong benefits package including an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and 401(k) with matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in sales/related field.
• Hospitality, culinary or related discipline is acceptable.
• 3+ years in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales if no degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth.
• Qualify prospects according to company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and propose a mix of products and services.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers.
• Stay informed on competitors, prices and sales to share value-added insights.
• Address customer questions on products, prices, availability and usage.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts and events.
• Communicate and collect accounts receivable per credit terms.
• Manage deliveries to routing schedule and troubleshoot order issues.
• Participate in company functions, promotions and district meetings.
• Attend and contribute to sales training and onboarding.
