Job summary

Americold Logistics LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator in Illinois to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and related equipment. You will handle loading/unloading, stacking, picking, labeling, and ensuring accuracy and cleanliness across shifts.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, attendance, and the ability to work overtime as needed, with prior experience and a GED/HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
