CHEER, INC. is seeking a part-time driver to transport meals from the main kitchen to senior centers on an established route in Sussex County. Responsibilities include delivery of meals and supplies, reporting incidents, and maintaining logs.
The role requires a valid license, Defensive Driving Certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training will be provided, with some evenings and weekends possible.
The primary focus of this position is to transport food and supplies from the main kitchen to the senior centers on an established route.
Responsible for observing and following all applicable laws including posted speed limits, safe following distances, and defensive driving techniques as well as Agency policies.
Responsible for reporting ANY incidents or accidents immediately.
Responsible for inspecting and cleaning the inside and the outside of the vehicle daily. Complete any repairs and perform regular maintenance. Responsible for delivering homebound meals when required following an established route.
Responsible for maintaining a daily log including mileage and maintenance. Complete all other reports as required by the Program Director on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Attend all training and safety meetings as required.

Most duties and functions will be performed throughout Sussex Conty. Local travel to other CHEER locations is required to support programs and services.
Various part time hours. Mostly mornings.
Extended work hours are periodically required to support programs and activities. Must be able to work occasional evening and weekend hours. Typical schedule is 2 weeks on & 1 week off
