Seasonings & Ingredients Food Technologist

Job Description :

Provides general knowledge in the development and evaluation of products (cheese and dairy powders) and analytical testing, while providing technical support to Project Leaders by performing routine functions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

1. Weigh ups
2. Lab restock and inventory check
3. Analytical submissions
4. Coating on popcorn or other snack bases
5. Dry blending of powders
6. Team tasting sensory setup
7. Freezer inventory and clean-out
8. Sifting and logging product from Pilot Plant dryer
9. Processing of and shipping out samples of powder
10. Skills needed: organization, proactiveness, communication, collaboration
11. Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 lb. bags of powder
12. Ability to stand for extended periods
13. Experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook (helpful)

Education :

High school degree or equivalent with 3+ years of practical experience. Additionally, 2 or more years of relevant work experience in a lab setting are preferred.
