Sinai Hospital of Baltimore is seeking a Food & Nutrition Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day functions of the Main Kitchen under limited supervision, directing staff to maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities include opening/closing daily patient service reports, conducting audits, ensuring teamwork, training new employees, and representing the department professionally through dress code and safety practices.
Under limited supervision, Assists Manager with day-to-day operations of the Food and Nutrition Department. Directs the work of employees to ensure high-quality standards of operation and compliance.
Ensures daily operation of the Food and Nutrition Department Main Kitchen. Completes opening and closing Daily Patient Services Report. Conducts tray accuracy audits, tray passer audits, test trays, and meal rounds. Ensures teamwork among co-workers and staff, by acting as a role model, utilizing best practices, and customer service models, while maintaining a post give and professional attitude. Assists with training of new employees in the department. Participates and contributes in department meetings, in-services as well as safety classes. Takes an active role in presenting a professional image of the organization by following established dress code for the department/Hospital and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
