Job summary

Boys and Girls Country of Houston, Inc seeks a Food Services Coordinator in Hockley, TX to manage the Distribution Center, kitchen operations, and event services for staff and residents. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate food donations and programs.

The position reports to the Director of Operations and is based at the Distribution Center and production kitchen. Experience in food service and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background and FBI fingerprint check.
• Must pass drug test panel.
• Serve Safe or food safety certificate required or willing to obtain.
• TB test for staff in contact with students.
• Orientation and pre-service training.
• Good organizational skills.
• Able to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
• Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that quality food service is provided for staff and residents.
• Responsible for efficient and effective Distribution Center operations including hours and cost control.
• Requisitioning food supplies and other merchandise for the food program.
• Develop programs to train and guide youth during the Summer Apprentice Program.
• Maintain inventory and records of food items and cleaning supplies.
• Coordinate with Director of Operations and Development on food donations within 24-48 hours.
• Handle setup and cleanup for special events in the Community Life Building.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
