Responsibilities

• Coordinate the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of food products, supplies, and equipment for the Food & Nutrition department.
• Place orders for food, supplies, and equipment while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring products are available when needed.
• Receive, inspect, break down, and properly store deliveries according to food safety standards and FIFO practices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, complete weekly inventories, and update product pricing as needed.
• Prepare and deliver stock orders throughout the department, ensuring supplies reach the appropriate areas in a timely manner.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and well maintained to support food safety and efficient operations.
• Work with local farmers and other vendors to source seasonal and locally produced menu items.
• Communicate with supervisors and vendors regarding product availability, substitutions, shortages, or changes in specifications.
• Follow department procedures related to food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and TCH requirements.

Job Description:

The Inventory Coordinator helps keep daily Food & Nutrition operations running smoothly by managing inventory, coordinating deliveries and orders, maintaining organized storage areas, and working closely with vendors and department staff.

Shift: Monday - Friday mornings, 40 hours

What You'll Do

• Coordinate the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of food products, supplies, and equipment for the Food & Nutrition department.
• Place orders for food, supplies, and equipment while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensuring products are available when needed.
• Receive, inspect, break down, and properly store deliveries according to food safety standards and First In, First Out (FIFO) practices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, complete weekly inventories, and update product pricing as needed.
• Prepare and deliver stock orders throughout the department, ensuring supplies reach the appropriate areas in a timely manner.
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and well maintained to support food safety and efficient operations.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in inventory, food service, purchasing, receiving, or a related field preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to perform essential job duties.

Ability to work independently while also being a dependable member of the Food & Nutrition team.

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of the position.

Compensation Information:

$19.01 - $33.27

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
