Job summary

Complete Care at Meriden is seeking a dedicated Diet/ Food Services Director to lead the dietary team, plan nutritionally balanced meals, and ensure safety and sanitary standards in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a High School diploma, Certified Dietary Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain), and 2+ years of food service management experience, preferably in long-term care. Full-time, day shift with growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Dietary Manager Certification or willing to become certified.
• 2+ years of experience in food service management.
• Long term care dietary management experience preferred.
• Inspects the Dietary Department daily to ensure that it is safe and sanitary.
• Submits written reports to the administration as necessary.
• Plans nutritionally balanced & therapeutic meals that reflect the likes and dislikes of residents, as well as Public Health regulations.
• Responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
• Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
• Hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate, terminates dietary employees.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.

• Maintains safe and sanitary standards in the Dietary Department.
• Submits written reports to administration as needed.
