Job summary

Complete Care at Meriden is hiring a Dietary Manager / Food Services Director to lead our dietary team in providing balanced, therapeutic meals for residents in a long‑term care setting. Responsibilities include planning menus, supervising staff, purchasing, producing meals, and enforcing sanitation and Public Health standards.

A High School diploma and Certified Dietary Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain) are required, with 2+ years of dietary management experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Dietary Manager Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• 2+ years of experience in food service management.
• Long term care dietary management experience preferred.
• Inspects the Dietary Department daily to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Plans nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals reflecting residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
• Hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and terminates dietary employees when appropriate.
• Responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
• Submits written reports to the administration as necessary.
• Plans nutritionally balanced and therapeutic meals reflecting residents' likes, dislikes, and Public Health regulations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
