Food Service Worker Substitute This is a Classified Position GENERAL INFORMATION

Warsaw R-IX School District is seeking cooks for the 2025/26- school year. Substitute positions are available. Applicant will be required to obtain a background check.

EVALUATION

Constant standing or walking. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Bends, reaches, lifts, carries, twists, pushes, pulls, and handles equipment when performing duties. Repetitive wrist/arm movements when serving. Manual and finger dexterity and motor coordination are necessary to serve food and handle dishes/trays with agility and speed. Able to reach and operate equipment and systems safely and effectively. Ability to work in warm to hot and humid conditions. Must have the ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions. Adaptability to perform routine, repetitive tasks with a specific period of time. Prioritizes work assignments to be completed within time requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School or Vocational School Graduate or equivalent or working toward diploma. Good working knowledge of English. Food Handler Certificate preferred.

Cleanliness in person and habits, initiative, dependable, ability to work efficiently and in harmony with others. Must demonstrate a positive and caring attitude toward students and staff. Must remain flexible and adaptable in order to meet department needs.
