Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is hiring for a cafeteria service role. You will support daily meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner, stock supplies, and ensure quality and safety for patients and visitors.

You will interact with customers and patients throughout shifts, use FIFO, and maintain a welcoming dining environment while following safety protocols. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and vaccination policies apply.

• Ability to operate cafeteria stock management tasks.

• Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
• Sets up and stocks cafeteria using FIFO, monitors quality of food & assure enough food & paper stock available.
• Responsible for brewing coffee, and keeping a good stock of beverages.
• Serves & replenishes hot food in cafeteria, including monitoring temperatures and quality of food.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment.
• Interacts with customers/patients throughout the day/evening. Helps answer questions about food, ingredients & special needs.
• Knows about the food they are serving, including suggestive selling.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
