Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is seeking food service staff to support cafeteria operations and patient/customer meals. You will help ensure safe, friendly service and maintain inventory and beverage stock across breakfast, lunch and dinner periods.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, knowledge of safe food handling, and a commitment to Munson Healthcare values. This is a hands-on, on-site position with opportunities to grow within the campus dining program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

A Day inthe Life

• -Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare

• -Promotes personal and patient safety.
• -Has basic understanding of Relationship-Based Care (RBC) principles, meets expectations outlined in Commitment To My Co-workers, and supports RBC unit action plans.
• -Uses effective customer service/interpersonal skills at all times.
• -Sets up and stocks cafeteria using FIFO, monitors quality of food & assure enough food & paper stock available. Responsible for brewing coffee, and keeping a good stock of beverages.
• -Serves & replenishes hot food in cafeteria, including monitoring temperatures and quality of food. - Areas include breakfast, lunch & dinner service.
• -Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment.
• -Interacts with customers/patients throughout the day/evening. Helps answer questions about food, ingredients & special needs.
• -Knowledgably about the food they are serving, including suggestive selling
• -Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
