Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Full-time Food Service Worker II (Team Lead) to supervise rotating day and evening shifts in Food Services. This role leads daily food and tray line setup, service and clean up, while training staff and ensuring compliance with recipes, menus, quality and safe food handling guidelines.

Certification as a Food Service Handler's Card may be required by the health department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of food service experience is required.
• Cook experience is preferred.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Food Service Workers in daily food and tray line setup, service and cleanup/sanitation.
• Help train new staff and supervise shift operations.
• Conduct inventory and assign tasks to team members.
• Monitor portion control and ensure adherence to recipes and menus.
• Ensure all sanitation and safety guidelines are followed.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.02 - $26.54 hourly.
