Qualifications

• Requires Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days for Critical Care/ICU units; PALS within 90 days for Inpatient Pediatrics.
• ONS/ONCC CHEMO & Biotherapy provider card within 6 months for Oncology Care.
• NRP within 6 months for Neonatal areas (if applicable).

Responsibilities

You will monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in patient conditions, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions. Utilizing sound clinical judgment, you will address complex health situations, consult with medical team members as needed, and document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.The RN is expected to uphold the highest standards of patient safety, adhere to evidence-based protocols, and contribute to a supportive and empathetic environment. As a patient advocate, you will work tirelessly to ensure each patient’s comfort, dignity, and well-being while fostering trust and a sense of security. Emergency Care - ACLS & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire. Oncology Care - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women’s Care - Perinatal departments; Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics - PALS within 90 days of hire.We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
