We are hiring immediately for a part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER position.

Location: Narragansett School District - 25 Fifth Avenue, Narragansett, RI 02882. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No previous experience required.

Job Summary

Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Measures ingredients as needed.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, adhering to safety standards. Distributes supplies, utensils, and equipment.
• Stores foods properly, following safety, wrapping, and dating procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner, following steps of service.
• Interacts with customers and resolves complaints professionally.
• Relays relevant information to supervisors.
• Performs sales transactions, enters sales into the register, and handles payments and receipts.
• Handles cash responsibly, including change, refunds, and cash drawer management.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
