As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform routine meal preparation and ensure the sanitation of serving areas at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items. You will also prepare trays, measure portions, serve food, and transport trays and carts. This role requires the ability to follow food service regulations and general safety rules while frequently using common kitchen equipment, such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, and grinders. You will record use of food and non-food items on inventory sheets, read and interpret color codes for special diets, and attend Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) Training.
