Job summary

The University of Toledo is hiring a Food Service Worker to support the Food and Nutritional Services team. The role will prepare ingredients for cold dishes and beverages, toast items, and cook basic grill and fried foods for patients, staff, visitors, and students.

You will assemble and deliver trays to patients' bedside and assist in meal service while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. The position is part-time and may require standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or food prep experience.
• Food preparation vocational training preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or food prep experience.
• Food preparation vocational training preferred
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.

Communication and other skills:

• Ability to read and write simple sentences and be able to carry out verbal instructions.
• Requires full range of body motion; requires prolong standing; frequent bending, stooping, stretching and manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, pushing carts on carpeting, and riding on elevators. May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work with others in a stressful work environment
