Job description

Base pay range

$18.00/yr - $21.05/yr

Duties

1. Assist in preparing items from the approved menu under the direction of the Cook.
2. Ensure milk is stocked, set up water coolers, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and eating areas.
3. Operate the dishwasher, clean all serving items, work surfaces, pots, and related items.
4. Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and food is properly stored at the end of the day.
5. Assist in preparing bag lunches for program field trips and store food properly.
6. Set up snacks following the approved menu as directed by the Cook, placing food, utensils, and supplies on carts.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• Ability to complete a physical lifting requirement and a pre-employment physical.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current immunizations, including annual influenza vaccinations, and be free of communicable diseases.
• Complete assigned training, including Food Handlers certification, within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

Experience must include following simple oral instructions, using hand tools, operating simple machines, and knowledge of sanitation standards. Education cannot substitute experience for this role.
