About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional facility. This includes preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, and utilizing food prep utensils and machines.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare and assist in food preparation following menus and recipes
• Ensure proper food storage and sanitation
• Serve food on schedule and according to policies
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly
• Follow food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform policy
• Manage garbage and keep kitchen clean
• Ensure environment is ready for food prep and service
• Review portions and utensils for service
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
