About This Position

The Food Service Worker position will be at an elementary, middle, or high school site. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of responsibilities including serving food and assisting with food preparation in accordance with recipe standards and USDA National School Lunch compliance. This role involves engaging with students, teachers, and parents with superior customer service, embodying the Genuine way. Opportunities to learn culinary skills for career advancement are available.

This is a Monday-Friday, daytime position.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all food served meets Genuine Foods' quality standards and food safety regulations.
  2. Serve food to students and staff with a positive attitude.
  3. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely food preparation and service.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all areas.
  5. Stock and organize kitchen and serving areas for efficient service.
  6. Report any issues promptly to the Site Lead or Manager on duty.
  7. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Must be flexible and team-oriented.
  • Experience or training in food service or customer service in a high-volume environment.
  • Willingness to learn USDA National School Lunch Program compliance requirements.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and composure.
  • Punctuality and adherence to attendance policies.
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to enhance students’ well-being.
  • Ability to work in a school environment with K-12 students.
