Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring Food Service Workers for the Food Services Department.

Position Details:

1. Full Time - 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day, rotating shifts including day and evening, every other weekend required.
2. Part Time - 24 hours a week, rotating shifts including day and evening, every other weekend required.

Compensation: Up to $1,000 Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates.

Role Overview: Food Service Workers are vital team members responsible for supporting food service operations, delivering nutritious meals, and providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include preparing and assembling food per dietary, safety, and customer preferences, maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, working as cashiers, and ensuring food safety standards are met. This role involves various aspects of food delivery to patients.

Requirements:

• Food Handlers Card required in the city of Norfolk.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience in lieu of degree/diploma accepted.
• Food Handlers Card and Food Service Certification required.

Preferred Experience: Food service experience is preferred.
