Job summary

Trinity Services Group is hiring a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a correctional facility. Two shifts are available: 5am–1:30pm or 10am–6:30pm; weekends/holidays required.

The role reports to the Food Service Director and offers valuable training, dailyPay, and a $250 bonus after completing the Rookie’s Fast Track. You will work on-site inside the jail, enjoying a benefits package that supports your health, finances, and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 18+.
• Prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
• Must be available to work some weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to menus and instructions.
• Maintain a clean, food-safe workstation and perform clean-up tasks.
• Follow safety regulations and sanitation standards for food handling.
• Assist with kitchen tasks and work as part of a team.
• Stand for extended periods and perform lifting as needed.

About This Position

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director.

This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You’ll Need

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
