Job summary

Trinity Services Group seeks a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a jail/correctional facility, reporting to a Food Service Director. The role emphasizes teamwork, food safety, and adherence to menus and recipes, with on-site work and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• Maintain a neat, food-safe workstation; pull trash, sweep, and mop as needed.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Follow all food safety regulations on sanitation, storage, and handling.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks and stay organized and clean.

About This Position

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You’ll Need
