Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to prepare and serve a variety of foods inside a jail setting. You will report to a Food Service Director and work on-site, handling tasks from cooking to serving meals while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience; must be at least 18.
• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of quality foods per menu and recipes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and host area.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook per recipes.
• Follow all food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Complete routine kitchen tasks and stay organized during shifts.
• Stand, lift, bend, push, and move for extended periods as needed.

About This Position

$15.00/hour + $500 new hire bonus

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
