Job summary

Quest Food Management Services LLC is seeking a dependable Full Time Service Worker for Lockport East in Lockport, IL to support daily food production in a school kitchen serving students.

The role involves preparing ingredients, assembling meals, serving students, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Shifts are Monday–Friday 8am–1pm, starting in August, with no nights, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Serve Safe Certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Must pass federal background check.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedules
• Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution
• Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Label, date, and store food products following food safety guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
• Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO procedures
• Support cooks with food preparation and other duties as assigned
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines

Position Summary

The food service worker supports daily food production operations in a school kitchen that serves students

The position is responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling food items, serving students meals, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and able to work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals.

This part-time position follows the Woodridge SD 68 school calendar and starts in August. Monday- Friday 8am-1pm. No Nights, weekends, or holidays.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Physical Requirements
