Job summary

The Food Service Worker position at QUEST FOOD MANAGEMENT SERVICES LLC in West Chicago, IL supports daily food production in a school kitchen serving students. You will prepare ingredients, assemble meals, serve students, and maintain a clean, safe workspace as part of a team.

This part-time role follows the Woodridge SD 68 calendar, starting in August, with Monday–Friday 8am–1pm shifts and no nights, weekends, or holidays. Ideal candidate is reliable and energetic.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, restaurant, cafeteria experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Serve Safe Certified or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Must pass federal background check.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedules.
• Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution.
• Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Label, date, and store food products following food safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
• Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO procedures.
• Support cooks with food preparation and other duties as assigned.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Position Summary

The food service worker supports daily food production operations in a school kitchen that serves students
