Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare foods and/or serve food and beverages to patients and customers. Assist in cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils, and collect garbage. Perform cashier duties.
2. Assemble and deliver food trays to patients and Meals on Wheels clients; serve food in cafeteria; prepare food according to instructions; process menus and diet orders; interpret production orders and recipes; portion and arrange food neatly on trays; prepare various food items; handle soft or liquid diets; clean and sanitize work areas and equipment; follow safe food handling procedures; manage inventory and storage; operate cash register and handle transactions; and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.

Minimum Education and Certifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Working Environment

• Frequently exposed to wet, humid conditions, extreme heat, and sharp tools.
• Occasionally exposed to chemicals, cold, and moving mechanical parts.
• Typically moderate noise level; required to wear protective footwear.

Physical Demands

• Require frequent movement around the facility.
• Use fine motor skills regularly.
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must have good vision capabilities.
