Job Summary

Under direct supervision, prepares and serves food and cleans kitchen equipment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Participates in preparing a variety of foods, such as soups, salads, meats, vegetables, breads, and desserts.
• Makes sandwich fillings and prepares sandwiches.
• Sets up foods prepared for serving on counters and steam tables.
• Serves food at mealtime and performs cashier duties as assigned.
• Accurately accounts for food prepared and sold.
• Operates various kitchen equipment.
• Cleans kitchen equipment and area, scrubs counters, and cleans tables.
• Stores and takes care of supplies.
• Counts inventory when assigned.
• Conforms to safety standards as prescribed.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; daily lifting of objects.
• Performs other tasks related to the position as assigned.
