Job Description
The Food Services Worker reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.

  1. Prepares cold food items and assists in support activities. This position is for the second shift starting around 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares cold food items for patients and cafeteria.
  • Handles Room Service orders, including patient, employee, and family requests, and assists patients as needed.
  • Completes tray assembly and ensures food safety and sanitation compliance, including documentation.
  • Performs data entry using Microsoft Excel and handles basic cash transactions.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Adheres to department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures quality and service satisfaction through problem resolution.
  • Completes daily checklists, cleaning duties, and documentation.
  • Washes and sanitizes food service equipment and utensils.
  • Replaces and stores items properly using FIFO method.
  • Assists with stock management and maintains sanitation standards.
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under stress and take appropriate action.
  • Physical demands include lifting/carrying up to 12 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of diet restrictions.
