Job Description
The Food Services Worker reflects NM's mission, vision, and values, adheres to the Code of Ethics and Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards.

• Prepares cold food items and supports various activities.
• Note: This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours or benefits.
• Most shifts start at 3 PM or 12 noon.
• Every other weekend work is required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cold food items for patients and cafeteria.
• Take Room Service orders, including patient, employee, and family requests.
• Complete tray assembly and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Perform data entry using Microsoft Excel and handle basic cash transactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Adhere to department policies and resolve service issues as needed.
• Complete daily checklists, cleaning duties, and documentation.
• Wash and sanitize equipment, replace items properly, and assist with stock management using FIFO.
• Sanitize work areas, food service carts, and dish machines.
• Exercise independent judgment when necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work under stress and take appropriate actions.
• Physical demands include lifting/carrying up to 12 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• One year of customer service experience.
• Familiarity with diet restrictions.
