Job summary

Grow Early Learning Corp in Geneva, IN, is seeking a Food Service Worker to join our team. The role focuses on following service plans, receiving and storing supplies, and maintaining accurate inventory records for meals prepared for students and staff.

The candidate will post multilingual menus and coordinate with the Center Director to ensure timely meals and compliance with nutrition guidelines. Growth opportunities and benefits are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 2+ years of experience in food service industry
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Follow all established service plans as outlined in the Nutrition and service area manuals.
• Collaborate with the supervisor to receive, unpack, and date food and supplies according to procedures.
• Conduct weekly inventory; manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of all food service activities.
• Post monthly menus in English, Spanish, and Creole (as needed) in the kitchen and Center Director’s approval prior to meal service.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Worker to join our team in Geneva, IN.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 2+ years of experience in food service industry
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred: Associate’s degree in culinary arts or ServSafe Food Manager’s Certificate and documented years of related experience in quantity cooking.
• 1+ years of verifiable experience in food service/cooking field
• Prior experience with quantity cooking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
