Geneva Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Geneva, OH is hiring a Dietary Aide to support nutrition services under the Director of Food Service. You will help prepare meals, ensure proper handling and safety, and contribute to a pleasant dining experience for residents.

The role requires standing, bending, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with prior long-term care or institutional food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides assistance in all nutrition service functions as directed by the Director of Food Service in accordance with the center’s standards and procedures, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Assists with providing nourishing, attractive, well-balanced meals and a pleasant dining experience. Must follow company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires demonstrated knowledge and ability in food service preparation and clean up. Verbal and written English communication skills. Position requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, walking, stooping, lifting, stretching, moving heavy items, and lifting/ carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous long term care experience or institutional food service preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

JOB DUTIES:

• Maintain Confidentiality of all resident’s information to assure residents rights are protected
• Report all work related injuries to supervisor
