Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Food Service Worker to provide a high quality dining experience while delivering dietary and nutritional needs to those we serve. The role emphasizes sanitation and safe food handling in a hospital setting.

The position is hourly, with pay between $17.00 and $18.89 per hour, and actual pay determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Basic computer competency to navigate software.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Certified Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire for Illinois facilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dietary and nutritional needs to patients and staff while ensuring a high quality dining experience.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen utensils, equipment, cafeteria, dining room, and work areas.
• Practice safe food handling during receiving, storing, preparing and serving food.

Overview

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic computer competency specific to software navigation. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED. 6 months of experience in customer service. Licensure/Certifications: Certified Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire for facilities in Illinois.
