Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Madison, WI, is seeking a Food Service Worker to perform basic preparation, assembly, portioning and distribution of foods to patients and customers. You will also handle stocking and sanitation tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in a hospital setting.

The Food Service Worker position is responsible for a variety of duties, including basic preparation, assembly, portioning, stocking and/or distribution of foods and supplies to patients and other customers, and the manual cleaning associated with sanitation of all areas of the Food and Nutrition department. Exhibits knowledge of quality food standards, sanitation standards established by regulatory agencies and operation of food service equipment. There is significant variation in duties depending upon the area of primary assignment and shift worked, but in general, the majority of duties relate directly to basic food assembly, portioning, service; sanitation of utensils, dishes and equipment; and custodian duties.
