Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Virginia Williams burg is hiring a Food Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial electrical and gas appliances used in food prep. You will help guests and Team Members with high-quality service and safety.

Requirements include 18+, HS diploma, 1 year in electrical/gas/mechanical work, and strong English. You may work nights and weekends and provide your own basic tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year each in electrical, gas, and mechanical maintenance (prefer commercial kitchen equipment).
• Excellent verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of commercial electrical and gas appliances used in food preparation.
• Provide excellent service to guests and Team Members.
• Cover Night Position when necessary; lead and coach other Food Service Technicians.

What you get to do:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of commercial electrical and gas appliances used in food preparation.
• Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations.
• Provide excellent service to guests and Team Members.
• Cover Night Position when necessary Serve as leader and coach to other Food Service Technicians Other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year experience each in electrical, gas, and mechanical (Prefer commercial kitchen equipment).
• Basic mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language
• Working knowledge of ANSI and N.F.P.A. and possess cross training in other maintenance fields.
• Basic knowledge of N.E.C.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 100 pounds.
• Able to provide your own basic hand tools (i.e. socket wrench, pliers, etc.)
• Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.
• Willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.

Compensation:

27.00 USD an Hour
