Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker I in Cape Girardeau, MO. The role covers non-cooking tasks such as washing dishes, cold prep, salad production, serving, cashiering, tray passing, and general cleaning.

Evening shifts are available, with a 20-hour work week, requiring a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in a service environment. Qualified candidates must read, write, and speak English and demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality

• Maintains relationship with patients and customers to attain quality satisfaction of food.
• Courteous and cooperative when communicating with patients, guests, team members, and hospital personnel.
• Ability to work in direct contact with a variety of foods.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cold prep, salad production, serving, cashier, tray passing, loading carts, general cleaning and receiving.
• Support non-cooking tasks and maintain clean, safe working areas.
• Assist with loading carts and general housekeeping to ensure smooth operations.

Preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a service-related environment/industry.
