Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Missouri is seeking a Food Service Worker I to perform non-cooking tasks such as washing dishes, cold prep, salad production, serving, tray passing, and general cleaning in a patient- and guest-facing role.

This part-time position (16 hours bi-weekly) requires ability to read, write and speak English, and at least 1 year of service-related experience or equivalent, with preference for a High School Diploma.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Maintains relationship with patients and customers to attain quality satisfaction of food.
• Is courteous, considerate and cooperative when communicating with all patients, guests, team members, and hospital personnel.
• Ability to work in direct contact with a variety of foods.
• Able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality).
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
