Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. in Spokane is hiring for a part-time Food Service Crew position. Earn $17.50 per hour while helping deliver fast, friendly service and high-quality food at the counter and in the prep area.

You will greet customers, promote products, sample items, maintain clean stations, and follow safety procedures. Flexible 24/7 availability, a Food Handlers Permit, and a team-first attitude are required. Perks include Same Day Pay, tuition reimbursement, and potential advancement.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
• Previous food handling experience is a plus.
• A Food Handlers Permit as required by local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and invite them back.
• Serve as the go-to expert for fast food, deli, and beverage programs and promotions.
• Actively sample food items to drive sales.
• Keep food service equipment clean and report issues.
• Follow sanitation, food safety, prep, and storage procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized food, coffee, and checkout areas.
• Complete waste tracking and temperature logs as required.
• Cross-train as a cashier and support store operations as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a smile, thank them for their business, and invite them back.
• Serve as the go-to expert for fast food, deli, and beverage programs and promotions.
• Actively sample food items to build customer interest and drive sales.
• Keep food service equipment clean and in top condition; report issues as needed.
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, prep, and storage procedures.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized food, coffee, and checkout areas.
• Complete waste tracking and temperature logs as required.
• Crosstrain as a cashier and support store operations as needed.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous food handling experience is a plus.
• A Food Handlers Permit as required by the county, city, or state.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, you are frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and hear.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
