Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Shift Lead/Head Cashier to oversee daily operations during shifts, lead by example, mentor teammates, and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will perform cashier duties, maintain store cleanliness, manage stock, support scheduling, and coach other team members. This full-time role includes benefits, retirement savings, tuition reimbursement, and advancement opportunities. Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and invite them back.
• Perform cashier duties, process sales and apply promotions accurately.
• Provide fast, friendly service and promote store products.
• Maintain store cleanliness across sales floor, coolers, pumps and foodservice areas.
• Stock, rotate, and label shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Manage food service and beverage programs to maximize sales.
• Check in vendors and communicate as needed.
• Lead completion of key store tasks and support special projects.
• Assist with schedule adjustments and inform the Store Manager.
• Coach and motivate team members with Store/Asst Managers.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Partner with Store and Assistant Managers to coach and motivate team members.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (alcohol, tobacco, Lotto, etc.).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
