Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, and you must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes and portion meals to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Be able to stand for extended periods and perform other duties as needed.
