Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital is searching for a dedicated Food Service Supervisor to be a part of our team!
Under general supervision, this position performs work at the full performance level, planning and directing the preparation and service of food in the Hospital. Supervises and assigns duties to cooks, bakers, food service workers, and other positions assigned to the area; schedules workers’ shifts, works with the Nutritionist to prepare special diets, and performs related work as assigned. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position.
This is a tobacco-free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Applicantsmust successfully pass a background screening.
Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital, located in Huntington, West Virginia, is a 110-bed psychiatric hospital owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health Facilities. The hospital provides quality patient care and a safe environment for its patients, often committed through civil commitment or ordered through the judicial system. It serves as a training site for future health care professionals, offering on-site learning experiences for physicians, nurses, psychologists, counselors, health care administrators, technicians, and supportive personnel. Through collaboration with Marshall University’s Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry, the hospital works diligently to facilitate patients' transition back to the community after discharge.
