About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional facility. Responsibilities include preparing and serving a variety of food items according to work instructions and menus, utilizing food preparation utensils and machines.

• Follow food safety and sanitation regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work and storage areas
• Adhere to uniform policies
• Manage garbage and keep the kitchen environment clean
• Ensure proper portions and utensils for service
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, at least 18 years old
• Preferred: Experience in institutional or restaurant food service
